Foreign Power, Great Lashups and More on the Mohawk Sub! 7/15/17
On modern day CSX, train action has been slow, especially compared to what it used to be. However, that was not the case on this July Saturday. Train after train was showing up, with multiple ethanol trains with foreign power, and the action never seemed to die down. It was an overall great day, splitting our time between Amsterdam, Pattersonville, Lock 10, and Fonda. Thanks for Watching!

With word the NS Virginian heritage unit would be trailing Sunday's 23K, I headed up to Ayer with a few friends. Before 23K departed, we managed to get SEPO, ED-8 and an inbound MBTA at Groton Harvard Road in Ayer. Took my new car for a spin to Mansfield today and managed to get a few train in about a 45 minute period. Included are a couple Keolis trains, 2275, 2252, and 164 with some weird looking red thing up front ;) Enjoy the video! I apologize for the awful wind noise, forgot my shotgun mic at home.

On an unusually warm mid-February day, a few friends and I made our way out to Fonda, NY for a day of railfanning. In the video, we see Union Pacific's Southern Pacific Heritage Unit #1996 trailing on Q091, a NS Dash 9 standard cab leading a CP SD60 on K635, a brand new CSX Dash 8-40CWM rebuild leading an SD40-2 and 2 gensets on Q386, and much more! This past weekend, Ben and I headed up to Maine. Over the course of the weekend, we managed to catch 16 trains; 10 of which were Amtrak's Downeaster, and 6 Pan Am freights of all kinds, from manifests, to water trains to slurry trains. It was a great weekend overall. Enjoy!

On my vacation to Disney, I managed to snag a few trains here and there. With a heads up that Pan Am Railways train LOSA was through Billerica, and since a friend and I were in the Boston area, we headed over to West Medford to catch it. On the second day of the new year, GingerRailfan Productions and I headed out to Abington, MA for some MBTA trains. In Abington, trains can reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.
